ASU Official Dress Code
APPENDIX C - CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS
Arizona State University College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation
Clinical Dress Code
The uniform is a means of identifying upper division nursing students. Students should be clearly discernible as ASU students for their own protection. Students should take pride in their professional appearance as they represent ASU. As a healthcare provider, students are expected to demonstrate conservative, safe and professional dress and grooming. This policy is to be observed by all nursing students. Faculty will review the dress code during orientation week and provide students with specific instructions where exceptions can be made, e.g., agency provided scrubs are required for labor and delivery and operating room settings. Noncompliance with this dress code will be reflected in the clinical evaluation and may result in dismissal from clinical. Clinical agency dress codes also apply.
